We have predicted for some time that Kampot and Kep will be the next boom towns in Cambodia. With tourists and residents alike getting priced out of Sihanoukville, Kampot, about 3 hours from Phnom Penh by car, will only grow in popularity among those seeking a relaxed seaside and mountain vibe.
With the near completion of the Kampot International Tourism Port in Teuk Chhou district, we think interest in the Kampot region will skyrocket. This project began in June of 2018 and therefore the expected completion date of March 31st will be celebrated with much fanfare among locals and real estate investors.
