Nestled between the Royal Palace and the National Museum on Street 178, the long-awaited Hyatt Regency hotel in Phnom Penh is 90% complete. According to Construction and Property Magazine, what will be the global brand’s first Phnom Penh hotel completed the exterior last year and is now working through the interior. They anticipate opening by Q3.
The Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh was estimated to cost $100 million USD. The 5-star, 14-story hotel is expected to accommodate 247 rooms and will feature a rooftop bar and swimming pool with expansive views of the Royal Palace and the Mekong and Tonlé Sap Rivers. Construction has taken nearly 3 years since it first broke ground in March of 2017.
