Phnom Penh hotels have come a long, long way. The boom in real estate development, especially from overseas has created new inventory for luxury grand hotels as well as boutique hotels. The latest and perhaps our favorite Phnom Penh hotel to open as of this publication is the Hyatt Regency, in Daun Penh district. We also love the Rosewood Phnom Penh hotel with it’s amazing rooftop view of the rising city as well as other new hotels close to making it’s debut. If we had to pick one to recommend however, it’s the new Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh hotel.
Looking ahead to 2022, we recommend you keep an eye out for the Fairfield Phnom Penh hotel (rendered below), which will feature Jenga-style modern architecture and ambitious, mixed-use plans (shopping mall, apartments as well as hotel). Both the Hyatt Regency and the 45 story Fairfield Phnom Penh hotels are great examples of architectural dynamism thankfully inspiring Phnom Penh hotel designers.
